About Sharolee

I began the violin at age 4 with the Suzuki method and love the way I learned the violin. Teaching music has evolved from an interest of mine to a passion. I truly love to teach!

I have studied violin all my life and and graduated with a BA in Violin Performance from BYU and a Master’s degree in Music Education from Boston University.

I began my teaching and Suzuki training courses in 2006. Since then I’ve taught hundreds of students maintaining both small and large studios over the years. I’ve attended countless Suzuki institutes and workshops as a student and also practically every summer as an adult taking my teacher training courses. Now I’m transitioning to attending with my own kids. I love continuing education and attending these institutes, I always learn incredible new strategies and refine my teaching skills. Here is a link to my Suzuki certification. I also teach at workshops and judging solo competitions and love the atmosphere that comes when so many come together to learn and grow.

My husband and I live in Saratoga Springs, UT on the south end (10 min from Pony Express). We have four children who play viola, violin, double bass and cello. My Suzuki journeys with each of them has been unique. They are giving me an incredibly invaluable addition to my teaching knowledge. I learn from them daily!
